Plumbers in Australia have licensing requirements that differ from state to state but it is generally accepted a 4-year apprenticeship with a further minimum experience of 2 years (6 years total) and a further curricular requirement as a benchmark for licensing. It’s easy to take your plumbing system for granted, but when it goes out, going without water could be the least of your worries. Even minor plumbing issues like leaky faucets and clogged sewer channels can have major consequences if left unattended. Reliable Rooter Service is Greeley, Colorado’s trusted company for plumbing repairs around the house or office.

Then again, if you don’t have the time, tools, or inclination to do your own plumbing repairs, you can hire a pro. A plumber can handle nearly any problem that involves pipes, from replacing a garbage disposal to unclogging a bathtub drain, but, if your problem is a stopped-up drain, you’re usually better off calling a drain-clearing service because these are generally less expensive.
It may be tempting to ignore a small faucet leak, or try to fix that clogged toilet yourself. Although we encourage homeowners to be discerning with their decisions, in some cases it is just safer—and eliminates lots of headaches down the road—by calling on professional help. A licensed plumber will be able to pinpoint the problem and provide you with the best course of action.
Plumbers install and repair water, drainage, gas, and other piping systems in homes, businesses, and factories. Plumbers install plumbing fixtures such as bathtubs and toilets, and appliances, such as dishwashers and water heaters. Plumbers also maintain septic systems—the large, underground holding tanks that collect waste from houses that are not connected to a sewer system.

Some allege that putting a brick in the toilet tank can save water, but doing that can keep your toilet from flushing correctly. Another plumbing tip, avoid liquid drain cleaners. Liquid drain cleaners are also bad news—they eat away at the pipes. Try a plunger or, better yet, a $30 auger. Don’t have either? Here’s how to unclog a toilet without a plunger.
I have had a great experience all around with this company.  A polite, knowledgeable lady answered my call, then told me she could have someone out between 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon.  Ramon arrived at 10:00 sharp.  Perfect!  Ramon is a fine man -- personable, polite, knowledgeable, and a hard worker.  He unstopped my drain in no time flat.  No drama.  No surprises.  Just good, old-fashioned quality service.
Prices as quoted ($500-781) OBVIOUSLY included the cost of the toilet. In my quote request I stated project was a totally unremarkable - removal of old toilet and install of the new toilet, which I will have purchased myself. There are no problems and this is not an old house. Simply want t upgrade from contractor grade toilet. I am a retired contractor with a bad back and I know what the project entails.

I initially called Charlie's Rooter Service (CRS) due to a sewer line backup. Lulu answered and was very nice. She set up the appointment and Luis arrived on time and was also very friendly. He pulled out the largest root structure (out of my pipe) either of us had ever seen. We had a good laugh. He called it the catch of the day and had me take a picture of him with it. The next day, I had an unrelated incident with a sprinkler valve inlet pipe rupturing, due to corrosion (galvanized pipe. Since this situation caused me to lose water service to the house, Charlie sent someone over that day to do an emergency cap off. It was then explained what could be done to provide a permanent fix (basically replacing the old galvanized pipe and creating a new sprinkler valve manifold). A quote was given and the full repair was scheduled for the following day. All is good now, and the job came out $120 below the estimate. Since my regular plumber moved away, I've been trying different plumbers here and there. Charlie's is clearly the most friendly plumbing business I've dealt with. I like everyone I've dealt with so far there. As a result, Charlies's is now my default choice for my plumbing needs.
The equipment used for sewer cleaning depends on the nature of the clog. A drain snake--also known as an augur--is usually the first line of defense, and is inserted directly into the pipe to clear blockages. For severe blockages, a device with a video camera can be put into the line to provide a view of the pipe's interior so that the cause of the problem can be properly diagnosed. In cases where the pipe has been blocked by grease buildup, a high-pressure water jet--also known as a hydrojet--can be used to clear the drain.

Rooter service is designed to solve the commonplace problems of slow and clogged drains. Clogs and blockages can affect your plumbing in many ways, depending on the type of clog and where it is located. A clog inside one of your home’s drains will typically only affect the appliance or fixture nearest its location; these clogs are often comprised of organic debris such as food scraps, hair, and soap scum. Alternatively, a larger clog blocking your home’s sewer line may show different symptoms, such as widespread drainage issues in several areas of your home or minor backups in tubs and showers when a toilet is flushed or your washing machine runs. In severe cases, you may experience wastewater backups that flood your home, causing damage and exposing family members to untreated sewage. Sewer clogs can also be due to debris buildup or non-flushable items in the pipes, or may instead be caused by tree roots invading and growing into your sewer line in search of water, forming a living, growing clog that cannot be removed without the help of your professional rooter service.
Plumbing repairs in your residence are normally not a pleasurable predicament for any house owner to be in we realize. However, we wish to aid residents on various responsibilities that can regularly be accomplished to keep ones plumbing system performing at optimum efficiency. Compared to other home systems like the cooling and heating system, home plumbing maintenance is usually much simpler for the majority of homeowners to make repairs that might be needed, and to do regular maintenance. We have lots of strategies and instruction in our blog that are helpful too. Throughout times when you need our specialized assistance, we are constantly prepared to help.
At Magnolia Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, we offer 24/7 emergency plumbing services for all of our clients in the Washington, DC area. But is your plumbing issue urgent enough to call us? If you’re asking this question, the answer is most likely a yes. We can get to your home quickly and restore your plumbing system so that you continue to have access to potable water, or so that your home is protected from a burst pipe or a smaller leak.
Another way to avoid a service call from your plumber is to make sure the outside faucets are turned off in the winter and make sure you disconnect the outside hoses. You need to shut the water off from the inside. Then, open the valve on the outside to let the water that’s in there drain out—you switch both of them to the opposite direction so one is always closed and one is always open. We have to fix tons of these in the spring mostly because people leave their outside hoses connected and they freeze up. The repair could cost $100-$200 or more. Another tip would be if you’re going away for any length of time, like on vacation, turn off your water. If on any of those days the temperature drops below freezing, have someone check in on your house. I’ve been called to homes where the family returned from vacation, and there was water flooding out from the front door.

“We had a toilet emergency one morning. After unsuccessful plunging efforts, we called Intelligent Service – and within 20 minutes, they were at our house. They found that the sewer line from our house to the street had snapped. Within 2 hours they had a permit and a backhoe in our front yard, and started work. By 5:00pm, we had water! They were extremely sympathetic to our situation. They were careful not to track snow and mud into the house. They cleaned up the area both inside and outside. Have already recommended the company to the many neighbors.”

A rooter service is a type of plumbing repair – it is any method of drain cleaning or pipe repair. Typically, it is when a plumbing service company uses a range of different tools to perform water pipe repair. It involves running water through your drains, using tools that they snake through your drains to unclog them and sometimes taking parts of the water pipe system apart so that they can take out some of the clogs manually. The original culprit of clogged drains was tree roots – hence the name ROOTer service, but now it is used to address all kinds of stubborn sewer line and drainpipe clogs that affect the function of your plumbing.

“Intelligent Service replaced our two sump pumps, added digital float switches, and installed a digital wall unit to track the water levels and pump options. They also checked our existing battery backup for battery outputs. They improved the piping and fixed the check valves. They cleaned the sump pit and the work area. They did a terrific job. Will definitely use them again and will recommend them as well. Pleasure to work with, very responsive, knowledgeable staff, and did a good job explaining the work order prior to writing up the estimate.”
